I am very grateful that Mitch Goldfarb came into my life.
While working at West Chester University a student intern came into my office and told me about a phenomenal Tai Chi instructor she had for class—his name was Mitch Goldfarb. I followed up with Mitch to see if he would offer his class for our faculty and staff…and the adventure began.  Mitch gratefully taught a series of Tai Chi classes that spring.  Faculty and staff loved his approach to the art and I was immediately drawn to his energy.

Thankfully, my intuition has been fine tuned over the past three years and I have developed an amazing ability to know when I need to meet or get to know someone better.  Mitch was definitely on the short list for people I had to get to know better.  I also have been blessed by the amazing people I attract into my life who either want to discover their legacy or are currently living it to the Nth degree. By my forming Legacy Producers, I’m able to ignite my passion of helping people discover, live, share and produce their legacy.

Ok… enough about me… now back to Mitch…

At the conclusion of the Tai Chi class, I had an intense feeling that Mitch and I were going to come back together at another time—I didn’t know when or where. Having said this, I never asked him if he had the same feelings, but I read it in his caring, passionate eyes.  He was immediately added to my vision board so I didn’t lose site of that feeling I felt at the end of the semester.

One day in the Summer of 2009, I called him from my kitchen and asked him if he was interested in coming back in the fall to teach another Tai Chi class.  He happily agreed. I would be remiss if I didn’t share with you that one of Mitch’s legacies also is to share his gifts and talents with the world.  On that call he began to share with me some of the other projects he was working on.  I always knew he was a music “producer”…  what ever that was? So I wanted to learn more…  I started asking questions and he started sharing with me his legacy.   He not only was a producer…  he was a songwriter, remixer, and engineer.  His albums produced Grammy winners, Gold records, and Top 10 Billboard Hits for artists such as Teddy Pendergrass, Cinderella, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince and MC Hammer.  I thought to myself…  wow!  This guy is not just “cool” and down to earth…  he is a creative genius with vision!

This is where the Law of Attraction really gets good…

The week before I made that call, I watched Anita Renfoe’s famous “mom song” parody to the William Tell Overture and told Mitch on that call that one day I’m going to make a parody to “When the Saints Go Marching In.”  I also shared with him my dream and what I was working on with Legacy Producers and Rhino Living.  I’ll never forget that conversation in my kitchen because I knew I was on to something…  I just didn’t know what...

…until two months later, we looped back around at the Starbucks on campus.  We continued to share our dreams and our projects.  Legacy Producers was becoming bigger and bigger and so was Rhino Living….  Mitch was working on a couple great projects including a CD release for a jazz artist out of Chicago and a children’s project for Nickelodeon.

After that discussion, we knew we had a beautiful friendship developing and we needed to let our spouses join in on the fun.  One week later we were “breaking bread” (as Mitch calls it) at an Indian/Tai restaurant. Great food, wine and four hours later…  wow, an amazing time!  I’ve never heard my husband talk so much about music and movies.

The next day after Church I sat down at my computer to finish editing Dave Magrogan’s book “Rhino Living: Why walk when you can charge?”  30 minutes into the editing I shifted back to the “When the Saints Go Marching In” that I downloaded to my laptop two months ago. I immediately began writing the lyrics to the song…the words  came to me like a storm in the middle of the night.  15 minutes later, the words were written and “Oh Legacy” was born.

That afternoon, I e-mailed Mitch and said, “I have to get into your studio to record the song.  This could be the theme song for Legacy Producers.” When we spoke on the phone, we even took our relationship to an even higher level….  It was the birth of a beautiful business partnership.  Mitch said, “why don’t you offer a musical component to all your Legacy clients—I can write songs, produce music with a buddy of mine out of NYC or they can do what you are planning to do by writing their own lyrics, choosing a song and singing it in the studio. Your clients can tell and share their legacy story through music!”  To that I said, “Brilliant!”

Friday, November 13th I was in Mitch’s home studio, six days after “breaking bread” with him and his wife.  The studio experience was amazing…. He was amazing!  I’ve never felt so comfortable…even though I’ve never sang a song solo my entire life (except in the shower) and now I am producing it in a studio in Mitch’s home in Guthriesville, PA.

It was a fantastic feeling to be surrounded by all his awards, Gold and Platinum Records, and then there was me…  a young woman who’s dream is to inspire others to live their legacy and tell it to the world! Why not me?

After I sang “Oh Legacy” a few times and with great coaching by Mitch, we had our takes.  That’s when the real magic began!  He took all the good parts from the performances I sang and made it into my Legacy Track.  WOW! Technology is amazing… and what is even more amazing is watching him work and experiencing the process through an extremely talented songwriter and producer’s eyes.  A few hours later “Oh Legacy” was created and ready to be shared with the world so that others can be inspired to live and share their legacy.

Here’s the bottom line everyone…

There are amazing people out there.  Go out and meet them.  They are often in places where you least expect them…  take a risk, discover your legacy and share your dreams.  In the words of Winston Churchill, remember, “we make a living by what we do, we make a life by what we give."  Discover what you have to give this world.

If you are stuck or don’t know where to begin, go to legacyproducers.com and contact me.  Everyone has something to give, we just have to uncover it and share it with the world…  Legacy Producers helps people do just that! Now get out there and “Make a Difference and Live your Legacy to the Nth degree.”
