Realigning the Universe with Positive Psychology
On September 17th, 2009 I attended a conference in Philadelphia called the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women--Rethink. Resolve. Renew. It was an amazing experience and met phenomenal men and women who are living their dreams and helping others do the same. Suze Orman, Marcus Buckingham, Judge Hatchett and Tory Johnson were some of the inspirational keynotes. I was able to connect on a personal level with two of the keynotes and am going to be working with one of them in the near future on an exciting project.
Why am I telling you this? I want you to think about the last time you took time-out and invested in yourself. This does not mean going golfing or getting your nails done. It means physically going somewhere to learn, grow and share your passions with others. Simply crossing off the things on your "to do" list or his "honey do" list is not going to lift your vibrations to the level you need without surrounding yourself with situations and people who are going to help you live your legacy. Despite what people say about the greatness of technology, you still need to couple your dreams and desires both with people and technology! The more people you have wishing you well in the universe, the more greatness you will attract so that you can live your legacy to the nth degree.
I want you to do a couple of things this month that invests in YOU and lifts your vibrations you are sending out into the universe.
1.) Explore what Positive Psychology is all about and write down what you can do today to add positive psychology into your daily routines.
2.) Take one of Dr. Martin Seligman's Authentic Happiness Questionnaires. Dr. Seligman is the Director of the University of Pennsylvania Positive Psychology Center
3.) Invite the 10 people you spend the most time with to join you in this journey. If they are not positive, you are not going to be able to live your legacy to the nth degree! Encourage them to share with you their successes and challenges. You are not alone in this journey! Throw a party to celebrate what you and others have and what you and other WILL have--not what you don't have!
4.) Watch the Smile and Move mini-movie. Great inspiration on those down days. After all, not every day is a holiday. We need to fake it 'til we make it some days.
5.) Listen to the FREE"Everything is Energy" teleseminar on September 30th, at 8:30pm EST.
